Science Fiction Film Sarcasm

The Babadook (2014) - This psychologically terrifying film about the story of a father and daughter who are terrorized with a monster from the kids' book is an intense and emotional watch. Director Jennifer Kent is masterful, and the performance by Essie Davis as (blog post) well as Noah Wiseman are both excellent.
